Scrap Yard: Innovators of Recycling

Jewish Museum of Maryland

Goal | Raise funds from federal-government sources for an exhibition exploring the social history and environmental dynamics of the scrap-recycling industry in America.

This groundbreaking exhibition explores the history, science, and art of scrap recycling in America over 250 years. I was hired by the museum to write grant proposals to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (awarded 2016) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (awarded 2018). The exhibition debuted in October 2019.
