Exhibition & Creative Vision

Graphic Details: Confessional Comics by Jewish Women

Yeshiva University Museum & Elsewhere

Goal | Provide a glimpse into the inner lives of women artists whose work has frequently been overlooked by an industry that favors masculine fantasy.

This internationally-traveling exhibition provided the first in-depth look at the influential role of Jewish women in comic arts through the lens of autobiography. This exhibition of original drawings, full comic books, and graphic novels, presented work of eighteen artists from around the world in a 1,600 square foot gallery. As the coordinating curator for this traveling exhibition, I reconceptualized the overall narrative and script, and developed a new creative vision and design that was adopted for subsequent presentations. I organized several public programs including a day-long symposium, book talks, and tours.
