Exhibition Concept & Project Direction
Wright on the Walls
National Building Museum
Goal | Help people of all ages explore connections between nature and architecture in Frank Lloyd Wright's work through an experimental immersive, interactive experience.
A part of the commemoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's 150th birthday, this interactive installation transformed a museum gallery into a life-size coloring book. Participants used dry-erase markers to add their own color to Wright's designs, which had been interpreted as black-and-white line drawings by two DC-areas artists in a 1,000 square foot gallery. A soundtrack accompanied the gallery experience, drawn from musical performances at Wright's Taliesin Fellowship in the 1940s. I developed the basic concept for this presentation and coordinated teams of artists, curators, printers, installers, and retailers to produce this one-of-a-kind experience.
